15 Year Brain Storm

Classmates...2012 will be right here before you know it. Please share your ideas for some events that you will like to see for our 15th anniversary.

Gail's Ideas:
I think we should have either a week of events or events from a Thurs-Sun in STT. I think the celebration should include the following events:

  1. One day where we have like a family day and go to St. John or BVI for the day

  2. A formal event on one of the nights with dinner and dancing and also a time to celebrate any outstanding accomplishments of members of the class and also a moment of silence for those that have passed

  3. On the Sunday go to church and then brunch

  4. A beach day/party

  5. A volunteer day: where we can go back to high school (given they are open during the dates that we choose) and run some workshops for students and give back something to the school.

Nicole Scatliffe's Ideas:
Those are great ideas. I have another to add. How about we go out one night dressed in our high school uniforms or some semblance of what style we rocked during our "glorious" teenage years? The 20th reunion class did it last year and they look like they had a blast. They all dressed in their high school uniforms and hung out at Greenhouse. Maybe we could put together a playlist of songs that were popular during our high school days and ask the DJ to play them at wherever we decide to hold the lime. Also, any plans for a reunion t-shirt?

Juelis' Ideas:
I think all the ideas are SUPER...I'm really looking forward to 2012. We are gonna have to start collecting some kinda dues to pay for most of the events.....and people should commit to attending and work on a payment plan so we have what we need to be successful.

I also Love the following ideas (which Included some form Gail and Nic):

  1. Formal Night with Awards (Black Tie/ Awards for Outstanding achievements As Suggested by GAIL)

  2. 15 Year Commemorative Year Book (to be mailed after events)

  3. 15 Year Anniversary T-Shirt

  4. "Throw Back" H.S. Dress Down Night (at/Green House As suggested by NIC)

  5. Give Back Day - Volunteer at CAHS/ Give Scholarships

  6. 97 Family Fun Day (Eating Contest, Races, Games, Ribbons)

Greetings CAHS Class of 97!

We recently enjoyed our 10 year milestone. We might have had minimum attendance for our reunion cruise, but that was then and this is now. Let's try it again as we approach 2012 and our 15th year anniversary!

We are currently in the planning stages for this and for it to be a success we will need everyone's help and support. Remember this is an event for all off us...the entire class, not just a selected few. And think of the fun you will have getting to reconnect with people and see where everyone is at 15 years later.

One of the links on the side is called "15 Year Brain Storm". Please go to it and give us your comments on what types of events or activities you will like to see for our 15 year extravaganza.
